May and June mission is Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity is a Christian based organization providing affordable, decent housing to low-income families in need who have the ability to repay a mortgage and are willing to partner with Habitat for Humanity. Please write a check to the church with HFH on the memo line. Thank you!

March and April Mission was

Hand of Grace Food Ministry.

Through Grace Covenant Church in Lewistown; they work closely with other community agencies to eliminate the possibility of any person, especially a child, going hungry in our area. Each month, Hand of Grace distributes over 20,000 pounds of food to an increasing number of needy families in our area.

 

January and February Mission was UMCOR

United Methodist Committee on Relief is actively helping those affected by the tornados and large storms in late 2021.

 

December mission was Back Yard Ministries.

Back Yard Ministries is a Christian non-profit organization that ministers to those in need in neighborhoods throughout Pennsylvania. BYM has a constant need for: fruit bars, indvidual bags of cookies, individual packs of cheese crackers (NO peanut butter), four packs of pudding, macaroni and chees, and ramon noodles.

November mission was Rescue Our Furry Friends.

ROFF is in need of help with supplies they need for the many dogs and cats they help. These include: dog bowls, toys, collars, leashes, canned dog food, Purina One chicken & rice dry dog food, puppy pads, scoopable cat litter, litter box scoopers, cat toys, Purina Kitten Chow, paper towels, garbage bags and Pine Sol.

September and October mission was United Methodist Home for Children.

UMHC was looking for help as children return to school. Each donation helps towards school supplies, protective equipment, Chromebooks, and tutoring sessions. UMHC was founded in 1917 by the Central Pennsylvania Conference as an orphanage. Each day, the Mechanicsburg campus serves approximately 35 children, state ad federal agencies to provide safe, residential care to youth and support service to their families and communities.

 

July and August mission was Mission Central.

The mission of Mission Central is

"Connecting God's Resources with Human Need."

This is accomplished by following three areas of focus...Mission Outreach, Mission Education and Disaster Response. They provide resources to groups who are doing humanitarian work locally, across the country and around the world, as well as responding to all weather-related disasters or emergencies that occur.

We are a single parish of two churches located in Reedsville, one of the quiet suburbs between State College and Lewistown.
