June & July Mission is UMCOR

UMCOR brings God's hope, healing and renewal to people whose lives have been disrupted by war, conflict or natural disaster. UMCOR is a ministry of the United Methodist Church, its goal is to assist the most vulnerable persons affected by crisis or chronic need without regard to their race, religion, gender, or sexual orientatin. UMCOR spends 100% of designated donations on the projects the donors specify. Thank you!

April & May Mission was Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity partners with people in our community, and all over the world, to help them build or improve a place they can call home. They are in the process of building the 10th home in our county. Thank you!

March Mission was

Mifflin County homeless students

As of last month, over 80 students are classified as homeless with over half that number being elementary students. They need financial help.

February Mission was

Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Mifflin/Juniata Counties

Big Brothers Big Sisters develops positive relationships creating a direct and lasting effect of the lives of young people. They are an organization committed to fostering positive one-to-one relationships between youth and caring adults. THANK YOU!

January Mission was

Central PA World Hunger Association

This association held their 45th meat canning project.

December Mission was providing Christmas gifts for needy children.

November Mission was the Elementary Backpack Powerpack program. This is an ongoing mission for our church. We provide weekend meals for 15 children. 

 

October Mission was Mission Central Hurricane Relief.

Your financial donations help get cleaning kits and other supplies to where they are needed most. Thank you!

August & September Mission was AARF. AARF improves the lives of at-risk animals by providing funding and resources to animal shelters, rescue organizations, sancturaries, and other non-profit groups and individuals. AARF provides support for spay/neuter programs, medical costs, befavior training, education, outreach and general operating expenses. They will also provide a physical sanctuary for displaced animals. AARF is also collecting old shoes in good to fair shape to recycle and is another way they can make money for pets. Thank you!

An emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence in Lewistown. Thank you!

We are located in the State College District that covers Lock Haven to Clearfield and Renovo to Mifflintown.

 

We are a single parish of two churches located in Reedsville, one of the quiet suburbs between State College and Lewistown.
