September & October Mission

Lewistown Shelter  Service

Shelter services of Mifflin County in Lewistown writes Our goal is help those facing a homelessness crisis find renewed hope by providing compassion, shelter and services.”  These include work programs and training, help with rent and utility as well as providing temporary shelter to those in need.

Please write a check out to the church with Shelter in the memo line.

Blanket Sunday at Church Hill

October 10th, look for a special offering envelope to be in your bulletins. The money donated goes towards Blanket Sunday. $ 10 buys one blanket and is given to those in shelters and other places where people need a bit of warmth and care. Fill out a check to Church Hill with CWS on memo line or give cash either way you make a difference in the life of someone else.

The next HUB event for Mission Central will take place on November 6th at Church Hill UMC beginning at 10AM. At this time, they will be making school kits. All are invited to this event and are welcomed to help and take part. We could use boxes to pack the health kits in. The best is copy paper boxes with lids, but any help would be appreciated.
